The Vedic tools live in this section so their assumptions stay visible. A birth chart asks for a recorded moment and birthplace; a panchanga asks what the five calendar elements are at or around a selected local date. The other tools answer focused questions about Moon sign, rising sign, divisional signs, dasha periods, daylight windows, and Moon-based matching.
Birth signs, divisional chart, timing, and matching
Use a recorded birth time for Lagna, D9 Lagna, and the Moon degree that starts a dasha sequence. Guna Milan derives two sidereal Moon placements from full birth records before comparing them, with a manual chart-data fallback. Mangal Dosha compares Mars to Lagna, Moon, and Venus signs, and the Kaal Sarpa checker audits both halves of the Rahu–Ketu axis. Sade Sati lists Saturn's sign intervals around the manually supplied natal Moon sign. These traditional tables do not provide event or marriage predictions. Check a result near any sign boundary against another ephemeris.
Read the Rashi and Lagna guide, Navamsa D9 method, Vimshottari date convention, Ashtakoota scoring rules, Mangal Dosha house rules, Sade Sati phase guide, and Kaal Sarpa axis rule with the results.
Focused Sun, Moon, and daylight tools
The Janma Nakshatra lookup uses a recorded birth instant or shows possible names across an unknown-time local date. The Moon transit calendar lists all rashi and nakshatra changes for a local month, while the Ganda Moola calendar filters six selected nakshatras into three water-to-fire passages. The annual Panchak calendar follows the Moon from 0° Kumbha through 0° Mesha and separates that passage into five nakshatra phases. The monthly tithi calendar separates local sunrise names from lunar-day endings. The Purnima and Amavasya calendar shows exact phase instants and corresponding tithi intervals without assigning observance days. The Sankranti calendar lists sidereal Sun rashi entries for a year. Rahu Kalam, Yamaganda, and Gulika assign weekday daylight eighths. Abhijit marks the middle of fifteen daylight parts. Choghadiya divides daylight and the following night into eight parts each. Hora divides those spans into twelve planetary hours each, beginning with the weekday lord at sunrise.
For the calculation background, read the Moon boundary guide, Moon transit method, Ganda Moola timing method, Panchak boundary and phase guide, Tithi and sunrise method, phase, tithi, and observance guide, Sankranti method, Rahu Kalam method, and Choghadiya method. The nakshatra atlas links to four deeper references.
Sun ingress and Sankranti
The Sankranti calendar calculates the twelve moments when the Sun enters a new sidereal rashi in 2026 or 2027. These ingress instants are distinct from region-specific festival dates and auspicious periods. Read the Sun ingress method before comparing its approximate Lahiri times with a printed almanac.
For the separate monthly Yoga and Karana calendar, read the sidereal-sum and half-Tithi method before comparing its endings with a regional almanac.
The Purnima and Amavasya phase calendar shows a local phase date and a tithi interval. Read the phase, tithi, and observance guide before using those dates for a local vrat or festival.
The Hora calculator shows twelve daylight and twelve nighttime planetary hours. Read the Hora method guide for the weekday ruler sequence and sunrise-day boundary.
The Yamaganda and Gulika calculator finds two different weekday-assigned daylight eighths. Read the weekday and sunrise method when comparing a local almanac.
The Abhijit calculator divides daylight into fifteen equal parts and highlights the eighth. Read the midday and Wednesday method beside its local-clock result.
For Moon-based day choices, use Chandrabalam and Tarabalam with their separate Moon-sign count and birth-star count guides. The Graha Gochara calendar lists five planets entering sidereal rashis, including retrograde returns; read its calculation method before comparing almanac times.
The Monthly Panchanga samples vara, tithi, nakshatra, yoga, and karana at each local sunrise and lists the next four angular ending times. Read the monthly calculation guide for its Gregorian month and fixed clock-offset conventions.
The Graha Vakri and Margi calendar finds Mercury through Saturn apparent-motion stations and shows sidereal rashi context. Read its station method guide before comparing published almanac times.
The Graha Asta and Udaya calendar finds Mercury through Saturn crossing stated longitude limits around the Sun. Read the Asta and Udaya method guide for the direct and retrograde thresholds and the difference between coordinate separation and local naked-eye visibility.
The Ganda Moola calendar groups six nakshatra sectors into three monthly passages and marks the exact water-to-fire sidereal sign junction inside each. Read the six-name and boundary method before comparing it with narrower Gandanta conventions.
The Panchak dates calendar finds every annual passage from 0° Kumbha to 0° Mesha and divides it at five nakshatra boundaries. Read the Panchak phase and weekday guide beside the calculated local and UTC times.
Compare mean and true Rahu/Ketu ingress times with the node-method guide. The clock times are approximate and should not be treated as an observance ruling.
The D2 Hora chart divides each sidereal sign into two 15° halves. Its method guide names the Cancer/Leo display convention and distinguishes this divisional chart from planetary hours.
The Drekkana D3 calculator applies the Parāśari ten-degree convention to the D1 chart. Read the D3 method guide before comparing other divisional traditions.
The Dashamsha D10 calculator divides each sidereal sign into ten 3° parts. Its method guide names the odd and even sign rule and its alternatives.
The Dwadashamsha D12 calculator divides each sidereal sign into twelve 2°30′ parts, counting signs forward from the natal rāśi. Read the D12 method guide for examples and birth-time limits.
The Saptamsha D7 calculator divides each sidereal sign into seven equal parts. Read the D7 method guide for its odd and even sign starts and birth-time limits.
The Chaturthamsha D4 calculator divides each sidereal sign into four 7°30′ parts and assigns the same, fourth, seventh, or tenth sign. Read the D4 method guide for the boundary rule and worked example.
The Shodashamsha D16 calculator divides each sidereal sign into sixteen equal parts with a starting sign of Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius. Read the D16 method guide for exact boundaries and birth-time limits.
The Vimsamsa D20 calculator divides each sidereal sign into twenty 1°30′ parts. Read the D20 method guide for its movable, fixed, and dual sign starts and birth-time limits.
The Siddhamsha D24 calculator divides each sidereal sign into twenty-four 1°15′ parts, starting from Leo or Cancer. Its D24 method guide compares the conventional forward count with the reverse-even alternative.
The Bhamsa D27 calculator divides each sidereal sign into twenty-seven 1°06′40″ parts. Read the D27 method guide for its Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn starting signs and exact boundaries.
The Trimsamsa D30 calculator assigns each sidereal placement to one of five unequal bands, reversing the ruler order in even signs. Read the D30 method guide for both sign tables and exact boundaries.
The Khavedamsa D40 calculator divides each sidereal sign into forty 45′ portions. Read the D40 method guide for the odd-sign Aries and even-sign Libra rule, deities, and exact boundaries.

The Shashtiamsha D60 calculator divides each sidereal sign into sixty 0°30′ portions and labels two sign-counting conventions. Read the D60 method guide for classical names, even-sign reversal, and birth-time sensitivity.
The Ashtakavarga calculator lists each contribution behind seven BAV rows and their SAV sign totals. Read the source-table guide before comparing variants or reduced scores.
The graha dṛṣṭi calculator maps full outgoing aspects from seven classical planets and lists the signs, houses, and occupying grahas they reach. Read the aspect counting guide for the source rule and what degree-based methods it does not include.
The rāśi dṛṣṭi calculator maps classical sign-to-sign aspects and the grahas occupying those signs. Its source guide lists every sign and explains why this rule differs from graha dṛṣṭi.
The Shadbala component calculator returns Uccha, Ojayugma, Kendrādi, Drekkāṇa, Dig, and Naisargika Bala. Its formula and limits guide explains why the omitted Saptavargaja, Kāla, Cheṣṭā, and Dṛk terms prevent a trustworthy total.
The Bhavabala inputs calculator separates directional house value and occupant adjustments under a declared equal-house midpoint convention. Read the Bhavabala method guide for the missing lord-strength, aspect, and timed inputs.
The Chara Karaka calculator ranks planetary longitudes under a declared seven-role or eight-role system. Its method guide explains ties, the reversed Rahu degree, and why different role sets can produce different labels.
The Yogini Dasha calculator lays out the eight-period 36-year sequence and birth balance. Read the Yogini Dasha guide for the nakshatra formula, worked example, and timing limits.
The Shubh Muhurta Window Finder composes Panchanga changes, local solar-day divisions, and optional hard exclusions into ranked candidate intervals. Its method and scoring guide shows every weight, a worked wedding example, and the chart-specific factors deliberately left out.

Settings to keep with a result
The Positional Astronomy Centre’s Rashtriya Panchang defines tithi by 12° increments of the Moon–Sun longitude difference, karana by 6°, nakshatra by 13°20′ of the Moon’s nirayana longitude, and yoga by 13°20′ of the sum of the Sun’s and Moon’s nirayana longitudes. A free web tool should say which ephemeris and sidereal origin it uses, and whether a shown transition time is a start or an end.
For a natal chart, a guessed birth time can affect lagna, and a wrong historical UTC offset changes the calculated moment. For a daily calendar, the same geocentric changeover can carry different local clock dates and sunrise relationships. These are reasons to retain the tool’s settings with any copied result, especially when comparing it with a printed almanac.
