Why two Rahu ingress dates?
Drik Panchang’s 2026 Rahu transit page visibly distinguishes Rahu from “True Rahu”: it lists mean Makara on December 5 and true Makara on November 25 in Indian local time. Its Ketu page lists Karka at those same instants. This calculator makes the same distinction, but computes its own longitudes from the local node model and approximate Lahiri ayanamsa; its displayed minutes need not match that publisher.
The nodes are mathematical intersection points, not additional physical planets. Choosing a method changes a coordinate definition. The result is a timed reference to that chosen definition, not a prediction about events in anyone’s life.
