Forty-five portions of 40′
Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra 6.31 assigns a different first D45 sign by the D1 sign’s modality: Aries for movable, Leo for fixed, Sagittarius for dual. Count one sign forward for each 40′ portion, wrapping after Pisces. The first 40′ of Aries therefore maps to D45 Aries; the first 40′ of Taurus maps to D45 Leo; the first 40′ of Gemini maps to D45 Sagittarius. The method guide shows all 45 rows.
Verse 6.31, continued in 6.32, gives three rotating deity names, fifteen cycles per D1 sign: Brahma–Shiva–Vishnu for movable signs, Shiva–Vishnu–Brahma for fixed, and Vishnu–Brahma–Shiva for dual. These are traditional labels for derived portions, not observed celestial bodies.
How to read the result
The fixed-sign diagram marks the derived D45 Lagna and grahas. The table retains the sidereal D1 sign and degree so every assignment can be checked. Parāśara 7.6 gives D45 a broad interpretive remit; it does not provide a one-line personal verdict. The calculator therefore reports signs and deities without claiming a prediction.
