Proverbs 10:25: The proverb calls the righteous person an everlasting foundation, yesod olam. Foundation is a metaphor for durability in ethical life before it becomes the ninth station of a cosmic diagram.

A common long recension makes the ninth count the sealed south. It neither names Yesod nor assigns the Moon. Keeping that directional item distinct exposes how later systems repurpose the number nine.

What Kircher makes visible
Kircher labels the lower central circle Iesod and Fundamentum. It receives lines from Tiphereth, Netzach, and Hod, then narrows to Malkuth below. Its foundation role is therefore paradoxical: it supports the final sphere while itself hanging within the network.
