Chesed as a Hebrew word
Micah 6:8: Micah joins doing justice, loving chesed, and walking humbly. Chesed in that sentence is an ethical relation often translated kindness, mercy, or loyalty; it is not a planet or numbered sphere.
SEFER YETZIRAH LAYER
The 4th count is not yet Chesed
A common Sefer Yetzirah sequence makes the fourth sefirah fire from water. The named Chesed node is not stated there. Later trees keep the number four while replacing the early cosmogonic description with a developed divine attribute.

What Kircher makes visible
Kircher marks the right-middle circle Chesed and Misericordia, visually translating the Hebrew term into Latin mercy. It stands beneath Chokmah, faces the severe left node, and connects inward to Tiphereth, so expansion is defined through a network of counterweights.

Jupiter, Tzadqiel, and the four Fours
The Hermetic row aligns Chesed with Jupiter, El, Tzadqiel, the Brilliant Ones, and four Fours. Crowley preserves this address in 777. Jupiterian expansion is a later explanatory layer placed beside, not inside, Micah’s ethical chesed.

Modern synthesis commonly renders Chesed as generosity, growth, benevolent authority, or expansion. The meanings fit the Jupiter overlay, while the biblical term retains covenantal and interpersonal shades that a single keyword cannot exhaust.
