Review your goal, facts, missing information, risks, and ethical limits. Then choose the next test.

Open Business Decision

Business Decision uses seven places for goal, facts, unknowns, risk, help, an ethical limit, and the next test. It is designed for early exploration, when confidence can outrun evidence. The cards structure a decision review; they cannot substitute for financial or legal records.

A useful question for this spread

What fact or test would make this business choice clearer?

The question can be made more specific to your circumstances before you draw. Keep the wording open enough for an unexpected card and grounded enough to connect the cards to something you can observe or decide.

The 7 positions, in order

The position labels below follow this version of the spread. Keep the order visible while reading so a compelling card does not cause its place to change after the draw.

  1. 1
    Goal

Use this card to establish the question’s starting point.

  2. 2
    Known facts

Connect this card with its neighbors while keeping this position’s label fixed.

  3. 3
    Missing information

Leave space for what the reading cannot establish on its own.

  4. 4
    Risk

Name the difficulty precisely enough to see what can be addressed.

  5. 5
    Available help

Identify a real source of support, capacity, or care.

  6. 6
    Ethical limit

Name the difficulty precisely enough to see what can be addressed.

  7. 7
    Next test

Read this as a possibility or action that can change with new information.

How to read the pattern

Keep Known facts and Missing information visibly separate. A Risk card may describe a feared loss, but the actual exposure needs numbers and agreements. Ethical limit is a real decision boundary, not a decorative virtue. Next test should create information before a large commitment.

After looking at the cards individually, compare the first position with the final one. Notice what changed in between and which cards complicate a simple story. A repeated suit or image can focus attention, but its meaning still depends on the question and the position.

An example reading

The Magician in Goal might reflect a promising launch. Seven of Cups in Missing information could point to unclear demand, while Four of Pentacles in Risk focuses on cash limits. Page of Pentacles in Next test suggests a small paid pilot with costs tracked.

This example shows how a card can open a question without proving a hidden fact or fixing the outcome. The next useful step is to compare the idea with the real situation and revise it when new information arrives.

Business Decision tarot spread FAQ

How many cards are in the Business Decision tarot spread?

This version uses 7 cards in a fixed order: Goal, Known facts, Missing information, and 4 later positions ending with Next test. The numbered diagram and position list use the same sequence, so the role of a card stays stable while you interpret it.

What question works best for the Business Decision spread?

Begin with “What fact or test would make this business choice clearer?” and replace any broad wording with the situation, decision, or time period you actually want to examine. The spread works best as a structured reflection rather than proof of another person’s private thoughts or a guaranteed prediction.

How should I compare Goal with Next test?

Treat Goal as the opening frame and Next test as the closing frame. Use Risk and the other middle positions to explain what connects them instead of jumping directly from the first card to a fixed outcome.
