The phrase “91 Enochian governors” usually points to names arranged in thirty groups in material associated with John Dee’s Liber Scientiae. This concordance displays the complete roster printed under “Names of Governors” in The Equinox I:7 in 1912. Where a 2010 Great Table reconstruction prints a different form, that spelling appears beside it rather than replacing it.

What the two spelling columns represent

The first name column is a page-by-page transcription of Crowley’s Liber Chanokh table in The Equinox I:7, printed pages 239–243. That table is the reason “governor” is used here: it is the edition’s own column heading. It is a 1912 occult publication, not a photograph or diplomatic edition of Dee’s 1585 autograph.

The alternate column records only forms that differ in Burns and Moore’s 2010 appendix. That appendix reconstructs paths through a Great Table and is useful evidence for a modern reading of the names. It does not turn VIROCHI, THOTANF, ORCAMIR, or FOCISNI into corrections silently attributable to Dee. A dash means the 2010 appendix uses the same letter sequence as the 1912 print.

The site’s established Aethyr routes follow the separate list in The Equinox I:8. Two group labels differ: the governor table in I:7 prints VTA and CHR, while the I:8 register used here prints UTA and KHR. Both are searchable.

Plate X in The Equinox I:7 (1912) numbers paths across the four Watch-Towers. It documents Crowley’s printed arrangement; it is not a page from Dee’s autograph. Open the public-domain issue scan ↗

Why thirty groups contain ninety-one names

Christopher Whitby describes the earlier Liber Scientiae scheme as twenty-nine groups of three earthly parts followed by one group of four. The count is therefore 29 × 3 + 4 = 91. LIL contains ordinals 1–3, RII contains 85–87, and TEX contains 88–91. The numbers are sequence positions; they are not folio references, geographic coordinates, or modern borders.

The British Library catalogues Liber Scientiae Auxilii et Victoriae Terrestris in Sloane MS 3191, folios 14r–31r and 52r–80v, with Dee’s heading dated 2 May 1585 at Kraków. This establishes the older book and its physical location. The printed name roster, spelling differences, and Great Table paths each belong to the specifically labeled witnesses above.
