Build an annual Panchak dates table from the sidereal Moon. Each period starts when the Moon reaches 0° Kumbha, midway through Dhanishta, and ends at 0° Mesha after Revati. Open a row to see all five nakshatra phases.

Choose a year and clock offset

Use 5.5 for India Standard Time, 0 for UTC, or −4 for a fixed four-hour offset west of UTC. A fixed offset does not change automatically for daylight-saving time.

What the annual table contains

The main table lists every modeled Panchak interval that overlaps the selected local civil year. Start and end cells show both the chosen fixed-offset clock and UTC. A period that begins in December of the previous year or ends in January of the next year is retained rather than clipped at midnight.

Expand Five nakshatra phases to see the internal changes: the last two padas of Dhanishta, then Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada, and Revati. The CSV contains those phase starts in separate columns, which makes the result useful as a calendar table rather than a single yes-or-no answer.

Ends0° Mesha · 360°/0° sidereal longitude

Why the interval is close to five days

The modeled span covers 60° of sidereal longitude. The Moon does not move at one constant speed, so the elapsed time varies from passage to passage. A typical result is a little more than four days rather than exactly five blocks of twenty-four hours. “Five” refers to the sequence of nakshatra portions used in the calendar rule.
