The Moon returns to its natal zodiac longitude about every 27.3 days. The calculator locates the next match numerically and shows the planetary sky at that instant. A different return location changes the angles and houses, but not the return instant.
The result is minute rounded. The positions are astronomical; the meaning assigned to a return chart belongs to astrological tradition.
The calculator obtains the natal Moon longitude from the recorded birth moment and searches forward from 00:00 UTC on the selected date. It accumulates the Moon’s ecliptic motion through the zodiac boundary and refines the crossing to the nearest minute.
The worldwide return instant is independent of location. Optional coordinates for the place of the return add a local Ascendant, Midheaven, and Whole Sign houses. Without a return location, the chart still shows the planetary sky but omits local angles and houses.
The Moon can move many degrees in one day. A birthday alone does not define the exact natal longitude or a unique lunar-return instant. The calculator asks for a recorded birth time instead of presenting a noon sample as an exact return.
