How to read the comparison
The first two tables rank the eight nearest mapped angular curves in each city by spherical distance. For a selected planet, the detailed table gives the nearest point on each curve and the separate east–west arc to a line crossing at the city’s latitude. A rising or setting curve can approach from another latitude even when it has no crossing at the city’s own parallel; the detailed table labels that case rather than inventing a crossing.
