A synastry aspect connects one point in one birth chart with a different point in another. This reference treats the two people as distinct. Select a pair, then compare the conjunction, square, trine, and opposition before giving any single contact a large role.

How to read a cross-chart aspect

The conjunction is centered at 0°, square at 90°, trine at 120°, and opposition at 180°. The orb is how many degrees the measured separation differs from the ideal angle. This site's comparison defaults to a 3° maximum for major contacts, but astrologers use different cutoffs. A smaller orb can justify looking more closely; it cannot measure compatibility.

They do not substitute for the rest of either natal chart, the full pattern of cross-aspects, house overlays when reliable birthplaces are known, or the real conduct of the relationship.
