Which Moon sign is active?
The Moon changes tropical signs roughly every two to three days. A printed daily sign can be ambiguous on an ingress day because the sign changes at a specific instant. These tables state that instant in UTC and show the complete run of signs across each month. For a birth moment, use the Moon sign calculator.
Method and time standard
The sign is the 30° tropical zodiac sector containing the Moon’s apparent geocentric ecliptic longitude. This archive takes exact Moon ingress events from our independently calculated Astronomy Engine sky calendar. Ingresses are searched in six-hour steps, refined by bisection, and rounded to the nearest minute. Times are UTC, so your local calendar date can differ.
Each monthly row is a half-open interval: the stated sign applies from its start, including that instant, up to but excluding its end. When the Moon was already in a sign at 00:00 UTC on the first, the row starts at the month boundary and says “carried in”; it does not claim an ingress occurred at midnight. The final row is clipped at next-month midnight and continues in that month’s table. The sign at the boundary is checked against the same astronomical calculation.
This is a general sky calendar, not a birth chart or a claim that a sign causes an outcome. A birth Moon sign requires an accurate birth instant.
