What is the rising sign?
The Ascendant is the point where the ecliptic meets the eastern horizon at the selected time and place. Its zodiac section is called the rising sign. Earth’s rotation changes that point continually, so the birth date alone cannot determine it.
Check the recorded time
The result includes the calculated Ascendant 15 minutes before and after the entered time using the same location and UTC offset. These comparisons show how sensitive this particular chart is. The sign may stay the same even though its degree changes. A historical daylight saving or time-zone error can shift the result.
