What the table shows
Each zodiac sign spans 30°. Dodecatemoria, also called twelfth parts, divides that span into twelve equal sectors of 2°30′. The first sector carries the parent sign; the next carries the following sign, and so on. A planet at 1° Taurus falls in the first Taurus sector; one at 3° Taurus falls in the Gemini sector. The calculator displays both the original tropical longitude and the transformed degree on a second zodiac wheel.
The sector sign and transformed position are related, but not identical labels. The sector names the 2°30′ slice occupied within the natal sign; the transformed longitude scales the exact distance within that slice to a full 30° sign. Birth time matters most for the Moon and angles. A date-only chart is a provisional comparison view, with no Ascendant or Midheaven. The underlying planetary positions are apparent geocentric longitudes on the tropical ecliptic and equinox of date. This chart is a mathematical remapping of those positions, not a second observed sky.
