What the table measures
A parallel means two signed declinations are nearly equal on the same side of the equator. A contra-parallel means one is north, one is south, and their distances from the equator are nearly equal. The match orb is shown in degrees; a number close to zero is the tighter geometric match.
The positions are apparent geocentric coordinates on the true equator of date. Some astrology software uses topocentric positions, a mean equator, other bodies, or a different orb, so its Moon and edge-of-orb results may differ. See the method guide before comparing tables.
