This is a transparent longitude screen for a recorded birth moment. It calculates planets and chart angles locally in your browser.
How to read the result
This browser calculation compares each planet's apparent geocentric tropical longitude, plus the tropical Ascendant and Midheaven, with 20 named-star positions at the birth instant. The stars start from J2000 equatorial directions in the site's named-star reference; Astronomy Engine rotates them to the true ecliptic and equinox of date. A conjunction here means a small projected ecliptic longitude difference. A star can share a zodiac degree with a planet while being far away in the actual sky; ecliptic latitude and, for planet pairs, full sky angle make that distinction visible.
Automatic contacts use only stars whose absolute ecliptic latitude is at most 40°. Canopus, Polaris, and other high-latitude stars remain in the wider reference catalogue but can be excluded from this simple longitude screen. Proper motion, stellar parallax, and perspective effects are not propagated; the calculation is bounded to 1900–2100. The method is independent and much narrower than a professional fixed-star chart with true-angle aspects, parans, and heliacal events.
