How the general hours are ranked
Each chart starts at 50 points. For the selected purpose, one planet and one Whole Sign house are used. Every hour gets the same published rules:

General aspects count within 4° of exact. The chart uses apparent geocentric tropical positions. Consecutive hours within two points of the highest score are grouped into candidate windows; all hours remain visible.
What the optional birth chart adds
When enabled, five separate factors compare each event chart with one exact natal chart. The general score remains visible as a subtotal.

Natal contacts use a 3° orb. Conjunctions, sextiles, and trines add the listed points; squares and oppositions subtract them. A birth time and coordinates are required because the comparison uses the natal Ascendant and Whole Sign houses. If the time or historical offset is uncertain, use the general comparison.
Scores compare only the submitted span and follow this limited, independently published model. They do not reproduce another service’s weights, cover every electional rule, or predict success. Practical constraints, other people, weather, and legal or medical needs still govern real decisions.
This model does not include a void-of-course Moon rule. If you use that tradition, review the independent void-of-course Moon calendar separately.
Method and context
Choose a consistent local span
Enter inclusive start and end dates, coordinates, and the civil UTC offset that applies throughout the period. The tool scans 24 hourly charts per day, for one to fourteen days. If a daylight-saving change occurs inside the period, split the search into spans with separate fixed offsets.
How the hours are compared
Every hour starts at 50 points. The selected purpose determines one planet and one Whole Sign house. The published rules add or subtract points for the Moon’s waxing state, the purpose planet’s direct or retrograde motion and house, and selected Moon aspects within four degrees of exact. The general subtotal remains visible. When birth comparison is enabled, five disclosed natal-to-event factors appear as a separate adjustment.
Reading candidate windows
Consecutive hours within two points of the span’s highest score are grouped into candidate windows. The ranking compares only the hours in your entered period; it does not measure the chance of success or evaluate practical constraints. The optional birth comparison needs an exact local birth time, historical fixed UTC offset, and birthplace coordinates; the model still omits void-of-course Moon checks and many traditional considerations.
This hourly comparison does not include a void-of-course Moon rule. Check the independently calculated void Moon intervals separately if that tradition matters to your reading.
