Documenting a date is part of the calculation
NASA identifies Johnson’s birth date and hometown. Her later work depended on exact mathematics, but that biographical fact does not supply a birth-hour input for this exercise. The table therefore communicates a range, not a false point estimate.
Planetary sign range for the recorded date
The possible signs cover hourly positions across the recorded date and every civil-day UTC offset from +14 to −12. Without a verified birth hour or offset, a body that crosses a sign boundary remains unresolved.
