How to read an aspect
An aspect is an angular relationship between chart positions. These pages cover the conjunction (0°), square (90°), trine (120°), and opposition (180°). The listed angle is the ideal geometry. The orb is the distance from exactness; astrologers differ on how wide an orb they accept. Compare the actual degrees before giving an aspect weight.
Begin with the two chart factors, then the aspect, signs, houses, and other contacts. The Ascendant is a local horizon point rather than a planet. It requires a reliable birth time and birthplace. The Moon moves quickly enough that uncertain birth time can also change its exact degree.
